The Avaira EU-Cleaner collects and processes data only in connection with updates. By implementing updates, the Avira EU-Cleaner connects with the update server at Avira Operations GmbH & Co. KG. The UAS includes standardized information on the following technical system values:
- Information, that it is dealing with the Avira EU-Cleanerr
- The tool’s version number that the Avira EU-Cleaner uses, in order to load updates (Avira Webloader)
- The product language
- The unique serial number, which is randomly generated whilst being copied
Further data will not be collected nor processed.
In what scope will the transferred update data be used?
The collected data will be anonymous and used exclusively for creating statistics. The statistical information serves mainly for improvement and further devolvement of the Avira EU-Cleaner.
Which data will otherwise be collected and transferred?
By using the Avira EU-Cleaner you can send the scan results in form of a report to the Anti-Botnet Advisory Centre. The report serves solely for product improvement and will only be used for statistically purposes. Sending the report is absolutely voluntary. You will be asked after every scan whether you want to send the report or not. You can view the contents of the report before it is sent. The contents of the report will be encrypted and anonymised (no personal data will be transferred). The transfer itself will be via an encrypted connection.
